NOHORAI

IMG_5734.jpg

Nohorai Temaiana is a young and talented composer, musician and performer. A child of Heiva, he is "basically" a percussionist because his father is none other than Poehei Temaiana, conductor in professional groups, member of the jury at Heiva i Tahiti and himself son of papi Teupoo, who runs the Arata'i percussion school. As for his maternal grandfather, Big Joe, bassist in the group Te Ava Piti and composer of the famous song "Pahoho", he passed on to him his passion for the guitar and the gift of composition. Surrounded by artistic figures, it was quite natural that he learned to play the guitar in college before starting to sing. His title "To'a Marama" earned him the special prize for the best composition.
